Last year, I had an awful experience traveling with Melin’s Aum Adventures and they were completely unresponsive to the serious concerns and issues we confronted. Please read this before booking travel with Aum Adventures.

One of the biggest problems was the intransigence, stubbornness, defensive, and hostile attitude of the company’s owner, Ashley Melin. I’ve traveled a lot (in groups too) and never before had encountered such a difficult person.

Promised a smaller trip of likely 8 – 10 but max 14 people, 17 people were booked without our knowledge — and there’s just no easy way to move that many people through India. Every meal, ATM stop or momentary need begins to take hours. And, this was just the beginning of our problems.
